Your Certificate

Your certificate, issued by UNITAR

When you complete the AI for Social Impact course, you receive a certificate of completion issued by UNITAR — the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. Here's exactly what that means.

What it is

  • A certificate of completion issued by UNITAR (a UN institute).
  • Verifiable by anyone using its certificate ID (prefix UNITAR-AI).
  • A credible addition to your CV and LinkedIn profile.

What it isn't

  • Not a university degree or academic qualification.
  • Not a separate endorsement by the wider United Nations.
  • Not a guarantee of employer or university recognition.

Who issues it, and who runs the program

The AI for Social Impact Challenge is operated by Ureka, an education technology partner. The course certificate is issued by UNITAR (the United Nations Institute for Training and Research), which is a UN body. The program is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI.

How the UNITAR-AI ID works

Every certificate carries a unique ID beginning with UNITAR-AI and a verification code. Anyone — a recruiter, university, or scholarship board — can confirm a certificate is genuine on our public verification page.

How to earn it

Complete all 6 self-paced modules of the course. No coding or prior AI experience is required. Enrollment is $60 USD, or through a university/organization bulk seat.
